The Indian ambassador to Afghanistan Amar Sinha during his visit to eastern Nangarhar province said the each family of the victims will receive $10,000, the Indian daily newspaper The Hindu reported.

Mr. Sinha also said that a reward of $20,000 will be given for the Afghan security personnel who were on duty outside the Consulate when the attack took place.

In addition, $2,000 were announced for the Afghan soldier, who gunned down one of the suicide bombers, and stopped the attackers in their tracks, Amar Sinha said.
